For our work Christmas party I decided to go with a Silver, Gold and Black look. For some reason the GOLD doesn't show up on these pics??

What I Used:

UDPP
MAC Paint in Stilife
MAC e/s in Silver ring (inner corner)
CHANEL e/s Quad in Sparkling Satins - the silver one - over silver ring
MAC Honey Lust e/s (middle eye)
CHANEL e/s quad in Sparkling Satins - the beige one- over honey lust
MAC Carbon e/s on outer crease
CHANEL e/s quad in Sparkling Satins - the black one- over carbon
MAC fluidline in Silverstroke (bottom lashline)
SHISEIDO Fine Eyeliner Pen (top lashline)
SHOWFACE Mascara Block in Black

I have had a few emails asking what my 'Showface' products are. SHOWFACE is a professional makeup school/shop.  Basically I have a friend who gets products from Showface really really cheap. Like 1/4 of the price.  So she recommended me the 'school' pacckage which is apparently what they offer to makeup schools (such as Tafe).
So below is my collection. Please feel free to ask any further questions.

FOUNDATIONS - Showface Brand - AU$ ?
Im not a huge fan of these foundations. VERY heavy coverage for normal everyday wear. Great for on-camera though.

LIPSTICK - Paris Berlin - AU$49.50
I LOVE these lippies. Great lasting power.

MASCARA BLOCK - Le Femme - AU$23.00
I don't use this as much as I should. Its the perfect mascara. It lifts & thickens. I just don't bring it out as its a lot more effort than a wand.

SPARKLE DUST - Le Femme - AU$18.00
I never use this but I really should. SO pretty. Reminds me of MACs Golders Green.

CONCEALERS - $38.00
Never have a problem finding the right colour match!

EYESHADOWS - Showface - AU$145.00
These are great 'DAY' colours and the brights are nice for a kick. Really soft shadows and are FANTASTIC for blending...super-dooper-easy.

TRANSLUCENT POWDER / DIAMOND DUST - Masquerade AU$25.00
Makes foundation budge-proof. Love this stuff.

A friend of mine had a christmas party on the weekend. We were meant to get 'doll'd up'.

As apart of our final make-up assessment, we have to create several looks that represent 'Who I Am'. Now thankfully this isn't due till next year sometime but I was thinking about it. Now I know a few people in class are doing the 'smokey' look as it represents 'a current trend that they use every weekend when going out'.

Desperate to think of something that represents me I came up with a twist to what the others were doing by choosing to show my star sign (scorpio) as it represents me and my personality.
Take a look:

AND NOW FOR MY "I just got stung" face:

Haha....Thanks for lookin'.

I attempted a 'lips' look last night.

What I Used:

LA FEMME Lip Liner in Sierra
LA FEMME First Lipstick from Paris Berlin PB/Pal20 Lip Palette
CLINIQUE l/s in ____________ (will find this out soon)
MAC l/g in Hot House

In a collision of boredom and inspiration I painted my nails in a Black AND White theme. I don't win anything for neatness but hey its something different to plain white or plain black that every man (or woman) and his (or her) dog has on!

I used O.P.I in Alpine Snow & Black Onyx.

Minted Fire

I impulsively purchased Newly Minted from the Matte2 MAC collection. I used it once and didnt like the outcome. It has been untouched ever since. So I decided to pull it out again and give it another go.

This is without Liner or mascara

What I Used:

UDPP
MAC Shadestick in Beige-Ing (all over eye)
MAC e/s in Newly Minted (outer corner of eye)
MAC e/s in Firespot (inner corner of eye)
MAC e/s in Carbon on outer edge of eye towards eyebrow)
MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack (top and bottom lashline lightly)
L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara in Black

So you want to de-pot your eyeshadow and/or blush? BUT! You don't know how? Well never fear as I am here! :)

Below is a detailed tutorial on how to de-pot using HEAT.

WARNING: Cream does MELT. Do not try and de-pot your CREMEBLUSHES with heat! Why? Here is Why

(You can click the pic to enlarge it)

Have Fun!

While in a state of euphoria and accomplishment while depotting all my eyeshadows I did something really really stupid.

So there I was depotting my very last blush. I had placed it on the straightener to loosen the glue and after a couple of minutes I went to transfer it over to my placemat to depot it. As I did the CREAM BLUSH that was now melted due to the fact that HEAT MELTS CREAM spilled like a colourful peach painting from Jackson Pollock all over my mat. (luckily it didn't spill THAT much...it could have been worse)

Needless to say I questioned my intelligence for a moment while I cried at the ugly remains of my blush.

This is what it looked like:

After some helpful advice from the Specktra's I ended up throwing it out as I didn't want to be putting it on my face :(

FOR FUTURE DE-POTTERS: mandilovesmakeu from specktra suggested Koren's tutorial for depotting WITHOUT heat!

Team Colours

My boyfriends Soccer final is on this weekend (late! but still) and since I was bored stiff last night I decided to do a test on the colours I will use.
His team colours are Blue and Red. I don't have red in my makeup kit so I used Fuschia instead :)
